Since Noctica and Pacifica really got me excited about new music and small artists, I've been looking around and have found a lot of really good stuff out there. People who say there no good music anymore are not looking in the right places. You're not going to find most of the "good stuff" that resonates with you on the radio, or even recommended by Spotify. They serve the most generic, mass market stuff because they get the most bang for their buck that way. To find the rare gems that speak to you, you have to go exploring. I personally find that YouTube is a pretty good resource for this. While their algorithm is far from perfect, once you start searching and exploring it will deliver more stuff in your recommendations to look in to. You will probably reject far more than you keep, but you can find some great artists.

Anyway, the point I really came to make is that I think I need to come up with a better way to share all the music I find. The deep dive I did for Noctica was too much to do for the rest of my initial artists and if I wanted to do even small listings for every artist, I think I'd need a dynamic site like WordPress. But I don't really want a dynamic site, part of this project is about having fun creating the site. Need to slow down and remember I'm here to have some fun, I get so excited about sharing the music that it almost becomes a job in my head. I think that the Rock Garden has some potential as a format, but it needs more. Have to mull it over a bit.

I should have spent more time working on the site today, but I got sucked down a rabbit hole of YouTube music videos.

Happy New Year, and all that jazz.
